Description

PAXIS Institute develops and disseminates evidence-based prevention programming for schools and communities. PAX programming provides for population-level, public health implementations that drastically improve lifetime outcomes. These interventions can and have been implemented successfully at the single classroom, school-wide, and all the way to population level. The PAX Good Behavior Game, the gold standard in prevention, is implemented in the classroom to significantly improve an array of outcomes, including reduced problematic behavior, improved standardized test scores, improved mental health outcomes, and reduced substance misuse. PAX Tools creates nurturing environments at home and in community settings by equipping parents/caregivers and support staff with these same evidence-based strategies to improve behavior and reduce conflict. PAXIS is paretnering with the NM Office of Substance Abuse and Prevention to offer PAX trainings at no cost for NM youth and familiy serving professionals.
